:: IN-CHARACTER COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS ::
Congratulations, you are now the proud owner of a barely functioning walkie-talkie and a texting device so primitive it might qualify as archaeological evidence. Upon arrival, your character will find their designated walkie and texting device at Town Hall.
WALKIE-TALKIES
Short-range only. Expect static, dropped signals, and unwanted eavesdropping.
Only characters within the same general area can hear your broadcasts.
Used for: quick group updates, frantic shouting, or the occasional existential sobbing.
Remember: Everyone nearby can hear you. Secrets and whining are best saved for private texts.
TRAITORS: Your walkies have additional functions. You can distort your voices with the press of a button. You have a second, secret channel in which to speak to other Traitors. Occasionally, snippets of these conversations will bleed over into the main channel. Will improve, if you can stomach contributing to Community Projects.
TEXTING DEVICES
Text-only. No emojis. No internet. No camera. No fun.
Slow. Glitchy. Occasionally eats entire messages.
Can send direct messages to other characters, assuming you know their device ID.
Expect delays, typos, and the creeping suspicion someone else is reading over your shoulder.
